Cloudy Daze (Producer and Casting Department)
Ever since they were little girls, Dezi and Monica have had a strong bond of friendship. However, the power dynamics have kept Monica on top with her perfect hair and clothes. The scales begin to shift in adulthood when Desi chooses to quit fitting in to a perfect world of white or black and simply chooses to be her messy self.

Fun Facts about the Film:
- This was filmed entirely on iPhone 6s. We used stabilizers and lenses to enhance the phone’s filming capabilities, but no additional cameras were used to capture the visual footage.
- Both of the actors that played Young Monica and Young Desi are bi-racial.
- Two of the producers are bi-racial and served as “subject matter experts” on the unique issues with bi-racial hair.
- The actor that played “20-year old” Desi, Jasmine Williams, was actually 17 at the time of filming, so we had to film outside the Bar establishment and use apple cider instead of alcohol during filming.
- Producer, Stephanie Harrison, was a last minute stand-in during the Salon scene. She was also working as script supervisor on set, so when it appears the front receptionist is looking at the appointment book, she is actually writing shot-list notes.
- The actor that played Devin, Patrick Gathron, has been an actor in 2 other projects for Director, Kat Albert.
- The disc golf scene was filmed on a live disc golf course during the weekend. It took twice as long to film these scenes as crew would have to stop filming to allow disc-golfers to play around our “set.”
